Internationalizing the Curriculum

  • 8:30 Welcome: Dr. Phillip Bailey, Associate VP for Global Learning and Engagement and Introduction of Professor Harvey Charles, SUNY Albany and UCA Global Fellows
  • 8:45-10:00  Session 1: Internationalizing the curriculum.

A discussion of the case for curriculum internationalization, and then an exploration of various strategies that can be employed to successfully internationalize the curriculum.

  • 10:00-10:15 Break
  • 10:15-11:30 Session 2: Infusing Global Learning into the curriculum Part 1

Participants will work in groups to develop strategies to be adopted by their respective departments on internationalizing the curriculum.  Each group will also articulate global learning outcomes for their own department as well as for at least one or two courses that they teach.  The final activity will be for smaller groups to report out to the entire group.
