Dr. Gallagher received his B.S. in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biomechanics, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to his background in exercise science, Dr. Gallagher is also knowledgeable in research design and statistics as exemplified through his minor in quantitative research methodology and his doctoral collateral in advanced research design practices. Dr. Gallagher’s research interests include thermoregulation and thermal stress in emergency responders, and applications of perceived exertion.
