The University of Central Arkansas provides online programming through, Vector Solutions. The courses are interactive and contain many challenging and interesting real-life workplace situations.

We encourage all employees, once their term of employment begins during the year, to complete their assigned courses in a timely manner to ensure proper compliance for their department or area. Please note: New Hires to UCA are asked to complete the required courses within the first 90 days of employment.

The courses can be taken on any computer with access to the Internet but the Vector Solutions platform performs best when courses are accessed on a PC using Chrome as the browser.

Note: Vector Solutions account access is active while an employee is considered actively employed at UCA.  For part-year employees, such as an adjunct employed during only one semester, they should complete all required online courses during the time period they are considered an employee of the University.

Test Out Option

Employees will have the option of “testing out” of  certain assigned courses.

  • An employee must click the box at the beginning of the course if they would like to attempt to “test out” of a course.  Once the employee enters the course they will not be able to go back to “test out.”
  • Employees must receive a completion score of at least 80% to be given credit for the “test out” option.
  • Certificates of completion are not available for any course that an employee “tests out” because a course was not taken.
  • The course will be recorded in an employees course history as “Tested Out” and they can take a screenshot of the screen if they need verification for a supervisor.

Employees will be sent reminder emails to complete the educational courses. The reminder emails will stop once an employee has completed all of their assigned programming. To access the courses and log in to an individual Vector Solutions accountfollow these instructions:

  1. Log into myUCA

Online participation will be electronically tracked and recorded by Vector Solutions. Attendance at onsite seminars will also be electronically tracked and recorded. If you have questions about the online content, assignment process, or material, feel free to email the Office of Employee Engagement & Enrichment at engagement@uca.edu.

Course Note: A user needs to complete a course section entirely in order to have the credit saved for that particular section. If a user takes a break during a course, pause the module and return without closing out of it the section will not be saved.

Additional ‘Optional’ Online Offerings

Additional online educational courses are available for employees. Courses will be included in the employee’s Vector Solutions homepage. It is up to each Department Head/Supervisor as to whether any further courses are required. These online optional courses (NOT required by the University) are for any employee to participate in and can be accessed multiple times.
