Special Education Resource Endorsement (K-6, 7-12)

Special Education Resource Teacher Academy

UCA has been approved to offer the FREE, Fully Online Special Education Resource Teacher Academy for 2024-2025!
Classes will begin this Summer, with applications due NO LATER than Friday, May 24th! Only 30 candidates will be admitted, so please make sure you provide thorough and accurate information. Decisions will be made after Memorial Day.
You must meet all requirements, including admission into the UCA Graduate School (2.7 or higher cumulative GPA, NO GRE required for this program), as well as be teaching in a Public School District in Arkansas and hold a license in Elementary (K-6 or P-4) OR 4-8 or 7-12 ELA, Math, or Science.
Please make sure you select the appropriate program and check yes at the end (see image below), in order to have the $45 graduate application fee waived!

This 12-hour graduate-level program of study is designed to prepare licensed teachers* who desire to work with students with exceptionalities typically served in an inclusive, co-taught, and/or resource classroom setting. With completion of the program and Praxis Licensure Test, candidates will be eligible for the Arkansas Licensure Endorsement in Special Education Resource K–6, 7–12.

Candidates completing the Special Education Resource Endorsement  can apply all hours completed in the Resource Endorsement program toward the completion of the Special Education GC.
