Arkansas State Science and Engineering Fair Special Awards

Here is the list of Special Awards that will be awarded this year.  Students may register for up to three of these awards. The registration link will be sent by March 24th to the email address provided during registration.

The deadline to sign-up will be Tuesday, March 31st at noon.

 

  • Acxiom Award
    • Projects that best utilize Computer Science
  • American Meteorological Society
    • Project in Oceanic, Atmospheric, or Hydrological Science
    • Possible categories of Earth and Planetary, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Physics
  • American Psychological Association
    • Project related to psychology
    • Possible categories of Behavior and Social, Animal, Medicine and Health
  • Arkansas Department of Environmental Equality – see Other Awards section below.
    • Outstanding project related to the environment
    • Deadline to apply is March 25th.
  • Arkansas Engineering
    • Most Outstanding Project related to Aerospace Engineering
  • Arkansas Environmental Education Association
    • Best project with a sustainability focus or application.
  • Arkansas Fisheries
    • Best Aquatic Science Award
  • Arkansas Soybean Science Challenge – see Other Awards section below.
    • Best project relating to Soybean Science
    • Students must complete the Arkansas Soybean Challenge online at link below.
  • ASM International Foundation
    • Best project related to Materials Engineering and Testing
  • Association for Women Geoscientists Foundation
    • Top project by female student related to geoscience
    • Possible categories of Earth and Planetary, Environmental Science, Environmental Management
  • Conway EcoFest
    • Project that best displays the enthusiasm for innovation, sustainability, and conservation that EcoFest represents
  • Edmond E. Griffin Award
    • Project that demonstrates creativity in the life sciences
  • NASA EARTH System Science Award
    • Outstanding project in Earth System Science such as biomes, hydrological cycles, seismology, etc.
  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration 
    • Top project related to Ecosystems, climate, weather and transportation
    • Possible categories of Environmental, Physics, Earth and Planetary, Energy and Transportation, Engineering
  • Pepperman Memorial Award
    • Best project related to cancer research
  • Ricoh Corporation for Environmental Sustainable Technologies
    • Best project that most supports environmentally sustainable development
    • Possible categories of Environmental, Physics, Earth and Planetary, Energy and Transportation, Engineering
  • Society for In Vitro Biology
    • Top project in In Vitro Biology to an 11th grade student
    • Possible categories of Medicine and Health, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Animal
  • Society for Neuroscience-Arkansas Chapter
    • Most Outstanding project in Neuroscience
  • Southwestern Energy Arkansas State Science and Engineering Fair (SEASEF) Newcomer Award
    • Exemplary project presented by a member of a school that has never participated in SEASEF before
  • Stockholm Junior Water Prize
    • Top water-related project
    • Possible categories of Environmental, Engineering, Earth and Planetary, Chemistry
  • UCA Physics Department
    • Project that demonstrates excellent use of physics
  • US Metric Association
    • Top project utilizing metric units
  • Yale Science and Engineering Association
    • Best project in the area of computer science

  • Arkansas Soybean Challenge
    • Students who complete the course and enter a soybean-related science project in your district’s science fair will be eligible to have their projects judged for:
    • $1,000 cash award to top soybean research project at Arkansas State Science and Engineering Fair
