The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Academic Leadership invites faculty to join the Teaching with AI Mini-Conference on Tuesday, August 12th and Friday, August 15th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center. This two-day conference features all-new sessions based on the most current developments in generative artificial intelligence and its impact on teaching practices.

Sessions will address living syllabus policies, AI for research, AI-enabled and AI-resistant assignments, AI applications across disciplines, strategies for addressing student misuse, AI tools for creativity and productivity, differentiation and metacognition, AI ethics, and a Gemini for Education preview. Participants will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools, develop practical strategies for integrating AI into their courses, collaborate with faculty across disciplines, and explore forward-looking perspectives on AI in education.

Registration is open now! This conference provides essential professional development for faculty navigating the evolving landscape of AI in higher education. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your teaching effectiveness and stay current with emerging technologies.

A catered lunch will be provided each day. You don’t want to miss this transformative experience and hear a preview of other AI-related initiatives offered this fall.
