Overview

Screencastify is a simply screen capture tools that allows you to easily create, edit and communicate with videos and images. It’s an extension that works with Google Chrome.  Record your screen, webcam, or both simultaneously and share.  What make Screencastify stand out from its competition is the ability to link to Google Drive. Recordings can be automatically saved to your Drive or shared to YouTube.

Signing up for ScreenPal is simple; users can set up a free account using either an email, Google account, or Facebook login.

Screencastify is yet another user-friendly screencast tool. What sets this tool apart from the rest is the convenience of storing videos straight to Google Drive.

Overview

Canva is a free, web-based graphic design tool. With its pre-designed elements, extensive multi-media library, and ready-made templates, this tool that allows anyone to easily create social media posts, presentations, posters, flyers, infographics, and more. 

Canva’s learning curve is extremely gentle; the drag-and-drop functionality and templates make for quick and easy designs that can even be customized. Users can even upload their own media.

This is my go-to tools for all things visual. I’ve used it to create announcements for social media, certificates for our events, and invitations. The templates drastically cut down on design time but still customize to UCA’s colors and adjust font to my liking. There’s no sense in re-inventing the wheel!
