CDI 2022 will be hosted August 1 – August 5, 2022 on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas. Participants for CDI 2021, please check your email for 2022 registration details specific to you.

Enrollment in each of the three concurrent sessions of the three-year program is limited. Prospective participants are encouraged to register as early as possible.  Attendees receive 3.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for each year’s attendance.

Please note that participants must move through the program sequentially. To attend Year 2, attendees must have attended Year 1, and to attend Year 3, attendees must have attended both Years 1 and 2. To attend the Advanced Year, participants must be CDI graduates.

You must attend all sessions of CDI to get credit. Any absences during the week of CDI must be approved by the Director on a case-by-case basis.

CDI sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1 and will end at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2022.  Only participants who attend all sessions will receive credit for the Institute.


CDI sessions are held at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas, located at 201 Donaghey Avenue, Conway, Arkansas, 72035.

Cost for attending the Institute covers the entire week of institute sessions, materials, refreshments, and special events.

Final payments are requested by July 22, 2022, unless prior arrangements are made.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: 

If you cancel before July 22, 2022 you will receive a full refund to CDI 2022. Cancellations after July 22, 2022 will only receive a 50% refund. If you have any questions, please call 501-450-3118.

PCED Test:

The next PCED exam will be held on Thursday, October 28 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The test lasts approximately two hours.

The Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED) test will be offered again in March and August 2022. The testing fee is $225, with checks payable on-site to the Community Development Council. Advance authorization and pre-registration for the test are required 45 days in advance. Pre-register to take the PCED exam at The PCED is optional and is not required for CDI attendance.
