Registration Information


CDI 2023 will be hosted July 31 – August 4, 2023 on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.

Enrollment in each of the three concurrent sessions of the three-year program is limited. Prospective participants are encouraged to register as early as possible.  Attendees receive 3.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for each year’s attendance.

Please note that participants must move through the program sequentially. To attend Year 2, attendees must have attended Year 1, and to attend Year 3, attendees must have attended both Years 1 and 2. To attend the Advanced Year, participants must be CDI graduates.

You must attend all sessions of CDI to get credit. Any absences during the week of CDI must be approved by the Director on a case-by-case basis.

CDI sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 31st and will end on Friday, August 4th at 11:00 AM.  Only participants who attend all sessions will receive credit for the Institute.


CDI sessions are held at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas, located at 201 Donaghey Avenue, Conway, Arkansas, 72035.

Cost for attending the Institute covers the entire week of institute sessions, materials, breakfast, refreshments (afternoon snacks), and special events. Travel, lodging, and meals (lunch and dinner) should be coordinated separately by attendees.

Final payments are requested by Thursday, July 6, 2023, unless prior arrangements are made. 

Registration will close end of the day Monday, July 24, 2023.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: 

If you cancel before July 6, 2023 you will receive a full refund to CDI 2023. Cancellations between July 7 and July 24, 2023 will only receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be offered after July 24, 2023 except in cases of sickness or emergency. If you have any questions, please call 501-450-3118.

Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED) Exam:

The next PCED exams will be held October 13, 2022, March 14, 2023, and August 4, 2023.

All exam times are from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. All exams will be held on UCA’s campus in Brewer Hegeman Conference Center Room 112/114.
