Chinese Americans have called Arkansas home for more than 150 years, but much of their history has been left out of traditional archives. Until now. The Arkansas Chinese Heritage Project (ACHP) works to collect, preserve, and share the rich history of Chinese communities across Arkansas and the surrounding region through oral histories, digital archives, exhibits, and educational resources. From family-owned grocery stores in the Arkansas Delta to military service and community leadership, these stories tell a fuller, richer history of Arkansas.
