The University of Central Arkansas Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is an organization designed to encourage professional development for students currently accepted and enrolled in the Doctoral program. Activities of SOTA include increasing awareness of occupational therapy in the community, networking, fundraising, and finding guest speakers to increase the student’s knowledge of current issues in health care and administration. SOTA also serves as a social bridge between each class of occupational therapy students.

Funds raised by SOTA are used to help students engage in community service projects and attend the national American Occupational Therapy Association conference each spring.

Membership is required for each student accepted into the program. Students are required to pay $15 annually.

Eligibility requirements: Membership is only available to those accepted into the UCA Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
