The University of Central Arkansas Division of Outreach and Community Engagement and the College of Fine Arts and Communication are hosting a closing reception for the Gene Hatfield: A Lifetime of Distinction, Achievement and Emeritus exhibit at UCA Downtown on Friday, Aug. 25 from 5-8p.m.

For the past month, Gene Hatfield’s art has been on display at UCA Downtown. The exhibit features an excellent representation of Gene’s evolving painting style, subjects and media.

Gene Hatfield died Feb. 18, 2017. It is estimated he created over two thousand pieces of art, much of which was temporary by nature. Those who knew and loved the man as much as his artwork enjoy what remains of his life’s work.

Hatfield’s art will be on display at UCA Downtown through Friday. The gallery is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The reception is free and open to the public.
