The University of Central Arkansas has announced the development of Greek Village II.
Groundbreaking and construction are set to begin in spring 2019 with a completion date of fall 2020.
The fraternity Greek houses will be 7,365 square feet with 11 bedrooms, a chapter room and many other amenities for current and future members. The NPHC fraternity complex will be 4,730 square feet with chapter rooms as well as other amenities. These structures will be more than just brick and mortar. Current and future members will study, socialize, fellowship, learn leadership skills and create memories here.
Key Facts
- The UCA Foundation will be funding the project to support the university.
- UCA will lease the fraternity complex and houses from the UCA Foundation, Inc., and UCA will maintain and operate the spaces.
- Each IFC Fraternity chapter is responsible for raising $250,000 in gifts and pledges by spring 2019. Each chapter should have half of the total amount in hand by that time. Pledges should be for no more than five years.
- Each NPHC Fraternity chapter is responsible for raising $50,000 in gifts and pledges by spring 2019. Each chapter should have half of that amount in hand by that time. Pledges should be for no more than five years.
- Donations will be managed by the UCA Foundation and are tax deductible.
- The fraternity that raises the most donations and pledges by spring 2019 will get first preference on its house location.
- A Donor Wall will be created to recognize donors who help make the space a reality.
