UCA Foundation, Inc.
The UCA Foundation, Inc. is a private corporation non-profit existing solely to benefit the University. The forerunner to the foundation, the UCA Endowment and Trust Fund, was created in 1977 as a public charity. In 1981 it became the UCA Foundation, Inc., a non‑profit corporation classified as a public charity.
The UCA Foundation provides a privately funded scholarship program that offers additional educational opportunities to UCA students. Scholarships and awards made possible by private gifts for students attending the University of Central Arkansas vary considerably in dollar value and criteria, reflecting the donor's gift and interests.
In addition to scholarships, the Foundation annually awards grants to faculty for programs that enhance learning opportunities at UCA. These grants, generally in amounts less than $3,000, are intended to encourage creative programs that may serve as "seeds" for future programs and provide for deserving programs and activities. Foundation funds come from the UCA phonathon, direct mail and personal contact with donors.
