General Scholarship for Current Recipients, Current Students and Transfer Students

  • Kenneth W. Abrams/Paul W. Kimbrough Endowment
    For full-time African-American students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above majoring in political science or business. Consideration may be given to financial need.
  • D. Richard Arnold / Conway Corporation Scholarship
    For full-time students who graduated from a high school in the city of Conway, Ark. (or, if home schooled, resided in the service area of Conway Corporation at the time of graduation) and have an ACT of 21 or above and high school GPA of 2.75 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need. Children of Conway Corporation Board of Directors are ineligible for consideration.
  • Charles and Nadine Baum Scholarship
    Transfer student criteria: satisfactory completion of 30 hours from another institution and minimum GPA of 3.0. Non-traditional student (age 25 or above) criteria: satisfactory completion of 12 hours and minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Burdick/McAlister Scholarship
    For full-time students majoring in geography or business who are citizens of the United States and who demonstrate financial need. Current student eligibility: 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.
  • Conque Family Scholarship
    For full-time students with demonstrated financial need and GPA of 2.50 or above. First preference given to business majors.
  • Will Counts Journalism Scholarship
    For full-time students majoring in journalism. Requires completion of at least 60 credit hours and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above; financial need will be considered.
  • James R. and Elizabeth Stout Dailey Scholarship
    For full-time students who demonstrate financial need and who are planning to major in education and teach. Grade point average of 2.5 or above required.
  • Graydon and Bonnie Bearden Dodson Scholarship
    For sophomores with a GPA of 3.25 or above who demonstrate strong financial need and who completed the requirements from an Arkansas high school.

    For full-time students. Selection based on need and academic performance (2.75 or above GPA).

    For a full-time student enrolled in the College of Math and Sciences. Selection based on financial need and GPA of 2.5 or above.

    For current, full-time student majoring in history or education. Satisfactory completion of 30 hours with 3.0 GPA required. Preference given for financial need.

    For full-time students with preference given to Pope County graduates. Selection based on financial need.
  • Farris W. and Ann Brandon Womack Scholarship
    For Arkansas residents from one of the following counties: Calhoun, Cleburne or Dallas. Requires ACT of 24 or above and high school GPA of 2.75 or above; consideration may be given to financial need.

    For children of present and former Arkansas Louisiana Gas (Arkla/CenterPoint) employees. Selection based on academic record and need.
  • Elizabeth Bailey Benton Scholarship
    For full-time students who are active members (two year minimum) of Conway First Presbyterian Church.
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas Scholarship
    For students who are, or have been, active participants in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas program and who are in good academic standing. Consideration given to financial need.
  • Herby Branscum Scholarship
    For full-time students from Arkansas with preference given to first-generation college students from Perry or Stone County. Selection based on a minimum high school GPA of 2.5, with preference given to entering freshmen and students receiving no other UCA funded scholarships.
  • Crow/White Education Fund (current recipients, current students and descendants of Crow/White families only)
    For full-time students with a minimum high school or college GPA of 2.0; financial need considered. First preference given to descendants of the John D. and Flora Boyd Crow or William C. and Mary Seay White families. Second preference given to students from Phillips or Faulkner County (Arkansas).
  • H. Fred Dalske Science Student Scholarship
    For full-time junior, senior or graduate students majoring in the sciences at UCA (other than pre-med) and interested in pursuing either an MS or Ph.D. degree. Selection based on financial need and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Dixie Band Camp Scholarship
    For full-time students who are members of the UCA band and have attended the Dixie Band Camp. Preference may be given to music majors. Financial need may be considered.
  • Joe C. Finnell Physical Therapy Scholarship
    For second or third year physical therapy students. Selection based on need, academic performance, cooperation and potential.
  • Madeline Ann Grubbs Scholarship
    For physical therapy students in good academic standing who are entering the third year doctoral program. Selection based on financial need and demonstrated service/leadership/cooperation.
  • Harvey/Mitchell - First Presbyterian Church Scholarship
    Selection based on academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above), financial need, and activity in the worship and work of a Christian congregation. Preference shall be given to qualifying applicants who are members of First Presbyterian Church of Conway.
  • Gini Ingram Scholarship
    For full-time students enrolled in both choir and band ensembles, with first preference given to non-music majors (students majoring or minoring in music are also encouraged to apply).
  • Bill and Joyce Miller Scholarship
    For a full time student with an ACT score of 24 or above and High School GPA of 2.75 or above. First preference given to students that have been members of the Boys and Girls Club from their respective community. Second preference given to a student pursuing a degree in the College of Liberal Arts. Financial need may be considered.
  • Charles and LuRene Jolly Scholarship
    For full-time graduate students (first preference) or undergraduate junior or senior students who are majoring in mathematics education and who plan to teach in Arkansas. Must be a legal citizen of the United States with preference given to Arkansas residents. Selection also based on financial need and cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.
  • Robert M. McLauchlin Graduate Education Memorial Scholarship
    For students who are United States citizens and are enrolled in a graduate program at UCA. Preference given to Arkansas residents. Selection based on academic performance, school and community involvement, and financial need.
  • Thomas M. Meadows Scholarship
    For students majoring in physical therapy with a GPA of 2.75 or above.
  • Paul and Kimberly Moore Scholarship
    For students with financial need and GPA of 2.5 or above. First preference given to First Presbyterian Church of Conway members and Conway Cradle Care participants.
  • Robin Nix Scholarship
    For full-time students who are members of one of the following at UCA: tennis team or band. Financial need may be considered.
  • Emmett and Judieth Preuitt Scholarship
    For students pursuing a course of study in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Requires ACT of 24 or above and high school GPA of 3.0 or above; consideration may be given to financial need.
  • Pam Snider Memorial Scholarship
    For female, full-time junior, senior or graduate students with financial need and GPA of 2.50 or above. Preference (in descending order) given to the following: students of American Indian descent, elementary education majors, psychology/counseling majors.
  • Dr. Betty Swift Scholarship
    For female full-time students who are Arkansas residents and are seeking a degree within the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Requires GPA of 2.5 or above.
  • Toad Suck Daze Scholarship
    For full-time students who graduated from a Faulkner County high school, with preference given to entering freshmen. Selection based on academic performance, activity in providing volunteer community service with nonprofit organizations, and financial need.   • John and Betty Ward Scholarship
    For full-time students majoring in journalism. Requires completion of 60 credit hours and cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above. Selection based on need, potential and academic performance.

    For full-time undergraduate students with a minimum ACT score of 21 and a GPA of 3.25 or above from Ashley, Drew, Union, Desha, Phillips, Chicot, St. Francis or Jefferson County. Selection based on financial need, academic performance, and submitted essay.
  • Alumni General Scholarship and Endowment
    For full-time undergraduate students with at least 60 credit hours completed at UCA and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Selection based on academic performance, submitted essay, and service to the university.

    For full-time undergraduate student with at least 12 credit hours completed at UCA and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Selection based on need and academic performance.
  • Marvin Bishop Memorial Scholarship
    For full-time students who are Arkansas residents with first preference given to Cherokee descendants. Requires a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or above and completion of 60 credit hours at UCA. Selection based on academic performance and financial need.
  • David and Laura Grimes Scholarship Fund
    For full-time students with first preference given to descendants of David and Laura Grimes and siblings. Second preference is given to graduates of Conway Public Schools or Springdale Public Schools. Requires a GPA of 2.5 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need.
  • B.A. Lewis Graduate Scholarships
    For students who have sufficient credit toward a bachelor’s degree at UCA and have been accepted into the graduate school or students who have completed at least 6 graduate hours at UCA with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above. Selection based on academic performance and submitted essay.
  • Dorothy Long Scholarship
    For full-time students who are majoring in mathematics or within the College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics. Requires cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and completion of 60 credit hours at UCA. Selection based on academic performance and submitted essay.
  • H.L. Minton Scholarship
    For full-time undergraduate students who are a U.S. citizen and in good academic standing. Must be a legal Arkansas resident or the child/grandchild of a former UCA student or UCA graduate. Selection based on need and academic performance.
  • John C. Rohweder Scholarship Fund
    For a full-time undergraduate student who has completed 30 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours in the semester for which the scholarship is granted. First preference given to non-traditional students majoring in writing or pursuing a degree within the College of Fine Arts and Communication.
  • Silas and Mary Snow Scholarship
    For full-time undergraduate students who are a U.S. citizen and who have completed at least 60 credit hours at UCA with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above. Must be a legal Arkansas resident or the child/grandchild of a former UCA student or UCA graduate. Selection based on academic performance and submitted essay.
  • Sullards Family Scholarship Fund
    For full-time students who have completed 60 credit hours; 30 of those hours must have been completed in the UCA College of Education. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and be a child/ grandchild of a parent and/or grandparent of a UCA graduate. Applicant must submit a brief essay of 250-300 words in own writing explaining choice of field of study. Consideration may be given to financial need.
  • UCA License Plate Program Scholarship
    For full-time undergraduate students who are the child/grandchild of a UCA graduate and who have completed at least 60 credit hours at UCA with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Selection based on academic performance, submitted essay, and service to the University.
  • Dr. Joe and Charlene Walthall Scholarship Fund
    For full-time students pursuing a degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education. Requires a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and completion of 60 credit hours.

  • Jeremy Duplessis UCA Police Department Student Assistance Scholarship
    Applicants shall either work in the UCA Police Department or be a legal dependent of a full-time employee of the UCA Police Department and have a high school or college GPA of 2.25; consideration may be given to need. Contact Jeremy Crabb at (501) 450-3111.
  • Faculty Scholars Scholarship

    One Lilly Harmon Staff Senate Scholarship will be awarded by the UCA Staff Senate to assist a full-time staff employee in pursuing a degree at UCA.     One scholarship is awarded is for dependents of full-time UCA staff employees who meet the eligibility criteria for the staff fee waiver as outlined in the staff handbook and are pursuing a degree at the University of Central Arkansas.
