Posters at the Capitol Wednesday 2/14!

The University of Central Arkansas will be among a dozen state colleges and universities exhibiting students’ STEM research at the state Capitol Wednesday, Feb. 14.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Arkansas STEM Posters at the Capitol will feature more than 120 undergraduates in Arkansas displaying  posters that highlight their work in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Students will discuss their research — leaving jargon at the door — with the public, elected officials and other students and faculty, allowing attendees to learn more about the STEM field and the students an opportunity to strengthen their communication skills.

Now in its sixth year, the posters at the Capitol event will showcase around 70 different posters. UCA students with majors such as biology, chemistry, computer science, math and physics will be among the presenters.
