Amy Whitehead is the Director of UCA’s Center for Community and Economic Development (CCED) and the Community Development Institute (CDI). She is a graduate of both the Community Development Institute and UCA’s Master of Science in Community and Economic Development (MSCED), where she now serves as an adjunct faculty member. Amy is a certified Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED), designated by the Community Development Council. She holds several state-wide leadership roles, including serving as board member of the Arkansas Community Development Society, member of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension’s Breakthrough Solutions Advisory Council, and the Arkansas Geographical Information Systems Board. Amy is also a member of the Community Development Council, which oversees and coordinates the national CDI network and the PCED certification.
