UCA will treat this plan as a dynamic framework that aligns governance, resource decisions, assessment, and daily practices so they reinforce one another over time. This structure maintains long-term clarity while allowing goals, objectives, and tactics to evolve with changing needs and opportunities.
The aim is straightforward: keep the plan active, keep the institution focused, and enable UCA to adjust as conditions change.
The implementation period began on July 1, 2026, with the four imperative working groups beginning their work in Fall 2026.

- Form and launch the four imperative working groups
- Reconvene the University Strategic Planning Committee in its stewardship and campus-reporting role
- Establish initial priorities, actions, measures, and milestones for each imperative
AY 2026-27
- Advance priority actions within each imperative
- Connect UCA 2035 to cascaded university and unit plans focusing on identified KPIs
- Establish and begin reporting meaningful measures of progress
- Create opportunities for campus engagement as appropriate to the work
Spring 2027 / End of AY 2026-27
- Share an initial progress update with the campus
- Identify accomplishments, work in progress, and priorities carrying into 2027-28
