In GivePulse, you can log service hours and event donations or funds raised using the Add Impact tool. For step-by-step instructions for how to add an impact, see the video walkthrough from UCA Commitment or the online tutorial from GivePulse. An impact must be associated with a group in order to be verified.
Step-by-Step
- Go to uca.givepulse.com.
- Click the gray “Log in via UCA” button. Log in using your UCA username and password credentials.
- Click “Hi <Your Name>” then select “Add Impact” from the dropdown list.
- Groups will be suggested at the top of the page, if the group you are looking for is not listed, select “None of these?”, located below the list of groups.
- Search for the organization you served with.
- Select the organization, and additionally the Event and Shift, if applicable.
- If the organization you served is not listed, scroll to the bottom of the list and select “Can’t find the group? Create a ‘Write-In’ Impact” to enter contact information manually. Note: Enter the most relevant person from the organization that can verify you served.
- Enter the start and end dates of your service and the number of hours or verify that the number of hours you served is accurate and adjust as needed.
- Select the correct verifier for the organization, who can confirm you served.
- Select the correct impact type by clicking on the “Time” dropdown and changing it to other types of impacts, such as donated goods or funds raised. Please refer to the Logging Impacts in the Correct Category, if you have questions on which type to choose.
- Under the Share section, for “Share”>”Share groups” verify that University of Central Arkansas is listed, and also list any other groups that need to be informed of your service hours.
- Under “Course Engagement”, list any Service-Learning courses using GivePulse to track service for the current semester.
- Enter a reflection, personal notes (optional), and/or rating, and upload any documentation of participation. This can help an organization verify your participation if they do not have their own records.
- Click the blue “Add Impact” button at the bottom of the screen. Congratulations! Your impact has been submitted.
- The verifier will get an email requesting their approval.
