The Arkansas Coding Academy (ArCA), a program of the division of Outreach and Community Engagement at the University of Central Arkansas, will soon begin offering three-month, full-time courses in Fayetteville in 2019.
In the three years since its inception, ArCA has expanded programs from its main campus in Conway to include a satellite campus in Little Rock at Philander Smith College. The Little Rock program is a six-month, part-time class, which is part of the Workforce Innovation Strategic and Economic Public Private Partnerships (WISE P3) initiative.
Students entering the new course in Fayetteville will attend class full-time, where they will be immersed in course content and project-based learning opportunities. Courses will begin May 13 and end with a Demo Day on Aug. 2, where students showcase their final projects and receive their certificate of completion for the program.
Mary Condit, director of ArCA, said, “We are so thankful for the continued support from the University of Central Arkansas to be able to grow and thrive in our current communities while filling the talent pipeline in NWA.”
All interested parties are encouraged to apply and begin the interview process. For more information about full-time courses, email Condit at mdunlap@uca.edu, call (501) 450-5276, or visit arkansascodingacademy.com/apply-fayetteville.
