This week the University of Central Arkansas unveiled a new streamlined ticketing system that will allow UCA students, alumni and friends to purchase tickets for all UCA events from one location.
Reynolds Box Office is now UCA Ticket Central and will sell tickets for all UCA Public Appearances, athletic events, UCA Theatre performances, student activities and the Conway Symphony Orchestra.
The new software system, ProVenueMax from Tickets.com, comes with the added convenience of online ticket sales. Individuals may log onto www.uca.edu/tickets to purchase admission to any of the aforementioned events.
Guy Couch, director of UCA Public Appearances, said the new system offers greater access to events and performances on the UCA Campus. ?Not only can a person find all ticketed events in one office, but we provide a toll free phone line for the entire state, as well as the new online ticketing service. New box office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday,? he said.
Couch said the idea for selling tickets for various events at one campus location came from UCA Athletic Director Vance Strange, who was looking for a way to track ticket sales for athletic events. “If we ever decided to move up a notch in NCAA some day, we need to have some idea of what our real fan base is,” Strange explained.
Strange said the new system will make it much more convenient for UCA alumni and friends to purchase tickets to UCA events. “With the online ticket sales, a person can go online and purchase their tickets without ever leaving home,” he said.
