The University of Central Arkansas will hold its spring commencement on Saturday, May 5 in the Farris Health and Physical Wellness Center.
University officials will confer 888 undergraduate degrees and 178 doctorate and masters graduate degrees during the three ceremonies.
Commencement for the College of Education, College of Liberal Arts and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics will be held at 10 a.m. The College of Business, College of Fine Arts and Communication and University College will be hold its commencement at 1:30 p.m. Commencement for the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences is scheduled for 5 p.m.
UCA President Tom Courtway will deliver the commencement address and give graduates one last assignment.
Dr. Steve Runge, interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs will present the degrees to the degree candidates. The “Outstanding Students of the University” will be recognized during the ceremony. Also, Dr. Norbert Schedler and Dr. Joe Anderson will be named “Distinguished Professor Emeritus.”
