The University of Central Arkansas Police Department and the Student Government Association promoted pedestrian safety through the “Brake for Bears”campaign held Nov. 10.
Volunteers encouraged safety awareness throughout the day at various crosswalks. UCA police and volunteers distributed t-shirts and fliers to pedestrians along crosswalks at Bruce Streets, Farris Road, and Donaghey Avenue.
UCA police officials say pedestrian safety is a major concern. They hope the campaign will help deter accidents in the crosswalks. Visit the UCA Police Department’s website at http://www.ucapd.com to get more information about pedestrian safety.
