The University of Central Arkansas will observe National Campus Safety Awareness Month in September with weekly events designed to promote safety across the university campus. This is the seventh time the university has observed National Campus Safety Awareness Month.
“Campus safety is everyone’s business and we depend on each and every member of the campus community to take an active role in keeping our campus, and each other, safe,” said UCA Police Chief Larry James. “We are partnering with several departments and student organizations to provide the programming and events during National Campus Safety Awareness Month.”
The UCA Police Department is partnering with the Student Government Association, the UCA Counseling Center, Student Wellness and Development, Student Life, Greek Life, Housing and Residence Life, UCA Athletics and other departments and student groups to provide programing on issues including sexual assault, the dangers of alcohol and drugs and pedestrian safety.
A full schedule of events is included.
