CONWAY— UCA’s Community Education Program is offering courses designed to enrich the lives of Faulkner County residents.

Each semester, UCA’s Division of Outreach and Community Engagement provides quality, lifelong learning opportunities for the community.

“Our community education classes are a unique blend of subject areas tailored to meet the diverse learning needs and interests of our community,” states Lawana Hawkins, Coordinator of Community Education at UCA. “We pride ourselves in making these classes available throughout the year so that everyone has an opportunity to learn something new.”

UCA’s Community Education program offers a variety of personal enrichment courses that are suitable for students of all ages. Some of the community education courses for this fall include: computer cleanup, children’s and teens improvisation classes, sewing classes, web design, photography and so much more.

UCA also offers foreign language and music lessons to students of all ages through the Community Language School (CLS) and Community School of Music (CSM). Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish foreign language lessons are offered through the CLS.

The CSM provides guitar, voice, “Little Mozart” Pre-Piano, Suzuki Violin and Kindermusik lessons as well.  Also a series of free workshops will be offered throughout the year through the Community Education program and College of Liberal Arts’ Exploring Our World Series.
