The University of Central Arkansas Division of Outreach and Community Engagement has partnered with the Unseen Homeless Campaign of Conway to offer a continuing education workshop on domestic violence to individuals who serve or work with victims or survivors of domestic abuse.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to recognize the signs of domestic violence, build confidence for assisting victims or survivors of domestic abuse situations, learn ways to advocate for survivors, and understand the effects of serving victims such as compassion fatigue and how to overcome those personal battles.
The workshop is Friday, March 18 from 9:00 a.m. til noon at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the campus of UCA in Conway. This event is free and open to the public. Online registration is available at uca.edu/outreach/domesticviolence.
