The University of Central Arkansas recently welcomed Pam Teague as the new director of Special Events for the President’s Office.
In this role, Teague will provide UCA with the leadership and knowledge to execute the planning and implementation for UCA events and other campus functions. She started her new position June 28.
Teague has begun executing several events and is preparing for the new academic year by planning the details of a Back-to-School Breakfast for faculty and staff, as well as other events.
“I’m so excited to be on the campus of UCA, and this is totally my dream job! I love that my office is located in the President’s Home. I’m honored to work in this beautiful historic Conway landmark,” Teague said. “I’m looking forward to working with members of the community who serve on the President’s Residence Advisory Committee (PRAC) who oversee the home and grounds. I can’t wait for the upcoming holiday season when we will dress this beautiful home in her finest attire!”
Teague formerly owned Events Rental and Floral of Conway for over 13 years. Her professional and community work allowed her to work closely with UCA and its food vendor, Aramark, to decorate for several events such as the Alumni Homecoming Gala and the Debut Announcement Event for the 2016-17 Reynolds Performance Season.
“We’re fortunate to have someone of her expertise directing our university special events and activities associated with the President’s Home,” said Kelley Erstine, chief of staff. “Her sense of creativity will be appreciated by the entire UCA family.”
Prior to UCA, Teague served as the director of Human Resources at Central Baptist College. Teague also completed 23 years at Snap-on Corporation, formerly FMC of Conway. The Vilonia native attended UCA where she worked toward a degree in elementary education. She and her husband, Ken, reside in Vilonia, and they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
