The University of Central Arkansas Chapter of the Humane Society is hosting ?Have A Heart: Valentine?s Day Fundraiser for Conway Animal Welfare,? now through Feb. 14.Individuals may honor their Valentine by supporting the local animal shelter. Donated items and financial contributions are being sought.
Donors will receive a Valentine card where they can write in their Valentine’s name, letting them know they were being honored in support of animals.
Some Needed Items:
Dry dog food
Dog treats
Small canned cat food
Portable wire cages (available at Petsmart)
Financial Contributions:
Conway Animal Welfare asks that financial donations be made to “Friends of Conway Animal Shelter,” a nonprofit group directly supporting the shelter. Individuals on campus may send their checks through campus mail to Jenny Lagergren, Department of Writing & Speech. Make check to “Friends of Conway Animal Shelter.” Individuals who do so will receive a Valentine in return through campus mail.
Drop Off Locations for Needed Items:
Items are being accepted at three locations on campus ? Thompson Hall, Room 328 (Jenny Lagergren’s office), Thompson Hall, Room 204 D (Lisa Mongno’s office), or Stanley Russ Hall 216. Place donation in box, and pick up a Valentine card to fill out for your Valentine.

Conway Animal Welfare requires all animals adopted to be spayed or neutered. Adoption fees are $20 for unaltered animals, but you receive a significant voucher to support spay and neuter costs.
