CONWAY—The 13th annual UCA Film Festival will be held Thursday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus.
The festival is free and open to the public and will highlight the best work of UCA film students.
“This is a great opportunity for students to share their work with peers, family, friends and fellow filmmakers,” said Mike Gunter, chair of the Department of Film, Theatre and Creative Writing.
Film categories include Narrative Short (longer than five minutes), Documentary, Music Video or Experimental and Shorts (five minutes or fewer).
Awards include Best Picture, Director, Writer, Actor, Actress and Cinematography.
UCA film faculty screen entries and select the final program. A panel of guest judges made up of professionals in the industry will determine various awards.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the festival screening to start at 7. Running time is approximately two hours. The awards ceremony will take place in Reynolds immediately following the screening.
