THOMAS NAMED ‘CHAMPION OF PRIDE’

Allen Thomas

The Advocate magazine named Allen Thomas a 2020 Champion of Pride.

Thomas is the academic director of Health Promotion and Wellness (HPaW) Residential College at Baridon Hall at the University of Central Arkansas and assistant director of Learning Communities. Thomas was selected for the state of Arkansas.

“It’s an honor to be selected. I hope this is a recognition that everyone is still working to dismantle marginalizing systems and that we can start at home, at UCA,” Thomas said.

At UCA, Thomas also advises UCA’s PRISM Alliance, a group for LGBTQ students. He’s also a board member at Lucie’s Place, which serves LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness in Arkansas.
