CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas’s Reynolds Performance Hall will welcome “Pixar in Concert” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3.
“Pixar in Concert” is a multimedia symphony show with music from all 14 Pixar films, including “Cars,” “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “WALL•E,” “Ratatouille,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles,” “UP” and “Brave.” The show will include two acts with a 15-minute intermission.
Julia Dossett Morgan, Reynolds’ director of Marketing & Finance, said the Conway Symphony Orchestra would play portions of each film’s score, accompanied by memorable clips from that film projected on a movie theater-sized screen. The performance is entirely family-friendly.
“It is going to be a night of fabulous and well-known music that was created for these films by famous composers — these scores have won 10 Grammys and 3 Academy Awards,” Dossett Morgan said. “We’re thrilled by the opportunity to highlight the talents of our local musicians in the Conway Symphony Orchestra, conducted by its Music Director Israel Getzov.”
