The University of Central Arkansas’s Log Cabin Democrat Lecture Series continues Monday, Nov. 21 with media personality and presidential and political consultant James Carville.
Carville will speak at the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall at 7:30 p.m. on the UCA campus.
Carville is known as the man who has devised the most dramatic political victories of our generation. His winning streak began in 1986 with the gubernatorial victory of Pennsylvania’s Robert Casey. He is also known for bringing President Bill Clinton to victory in 1992. His long list of electoral successes shows a knack for steering overlooked campaigns to unexpected landslide victories and for making political underdogs into winners, according to his official website.
“What he has to say will be very interesting because of his great insight on politicians,” said Jerry Biebesheimer, director of UCA Public Appearances. “I hope someone asks him if he and his wife have political discussions, being that she is a Republican consultant.”
Carville is married to Mary Matalin, a Republican strategist and political contributor at CNN.
