The Honorable Mike Beebe, University of Central Arkansas President Tom Courtway, members of the board of trustees, and other city, state and local leaders will take part in a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. for the expansion of the Health Physical Education and Recreation Center (HPER) project.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place in the current HPER complex.
The HPER center expansion includes over 42,000 square feet of new space, 14,000 square feet of renovated space and the addition of a 25-yard, six-lane swimming pool. The project should be complete by October 2014.
