HARRY THOMASON TO DISCUSS NEW MEMOIR AT UCA

The University of Central Arkansas will welcome film and television writer, director and producer Harry Thomason to campus Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. for a talk and book signing on his new memoir, “Brother Dog.” The event will be held in the Snow Fine Arts Center’s Bridges/Larson Theatre.

Thomason, a native of Hampton, is best known for his work as executive producer for the television shows “Designing Women” and “Evening Shade,” and his documentaries about longtime friends Bill and Hillary Clinton.

“Harry Thomason’s memoir takes us from the haunting stillness of a mid-century Arkansas night (with a serial killer on the loose) to the set of The Tonight Show (with a future president on the sax),” said Jeffrey Toobin, CNN commentator and author, in a review. “It’s a sometimes-gentle, sometimes-wild ride through the century, with the good-hearted Coach Thomason as a guide.”

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.
