The 2005 Faulkner County Children’s Health Fair will be held at the Student Center on the University of Central Arkansas campus on Wednesday, Aug. 10. The fair is scheduled from noon to 7 p.m. Parking is available behind McCastlain Hall, located next to the Student Center. Free health screenings will be provided to children ages birth to fifteen that include immunizations, dental exams, vision, speech and hearing testing; glucose and hemoglobin testing. Children needing immunizations, including those entering kindergarten and seventh grade, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and bring their shot record.
Approximately 30 exhibitors will provide information on children’s wellness issues. Entertainment and door prizes will also be available throughout the day. This year’s sponsors include Conway Kiwanis Club, Conway Regional Health System, and the University of Central Arkansas.
