Virtuoso bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile (Nickel Creek) join forces as the headline act for the third Arkansas Acoustic Festival, Jan. 28?30, at Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall at the University of Central Arkansas.Meyer and Thile perform Sunday, Jan. 30 at 7 pm. AETN will film the entire Meyer-Thile concert for statewide broadcast at a later date.
Only 13 cities in the U.S. have the privilege of enjoying a live acoustic concert by bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile, who is best known as a member of the California bluegrass band, Nickel Creek.
Those cities and venues include New York (Carnegie Hall), San Francisco (Herbst Theatre), Disney Hall in Los Angeles, the Krannert Center at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Hancher Auditorium at the University of Iowa, and Reynolds Performance Hall at the University of Central Arkansas. The limited tour closes with the 7 pm concert at UCA.

Tickets are $20; $17 for senior citizens (60+) and UCA Alumni Association members; $15 for UCA faculty and staff; $10 for non-UCA students; and $5 for UCA students.
