The University of Central Arkansas’s Division of Outreach and Community Engagement has won an International Award in lifelong learning for Best Brochure Design by the Learning Resources Network (LERN), the largest association in lifelong learning in the world.
Kristy Carter, director of marketing for the Division of Outreach and Community Engagement, accepted the award, which was only one of 20 given at LERN’s recent annual conference in San Diego. The conference was attended by 800 professionals in lifelong learning from five countries.
“The award is for innovation in the field of lifelong learning and serving communities,” said William A. Draves, LERN president. “These awards enhance the quality and involvement in lifelong learning, an absolutely critical component to individual and community quality of life and prosperity in this century.”
