CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas’s BearBones choir will be in concert in the Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The event is part of a series of performances and workshops that the choir has lined up for this fall semester.
Dr. Justin Cook, assistant professor of trombone, said he is most excited for the array of musical compositions the choir will perform.
“The audience should expect to experience a wide range of emotions,” Cook said. “We play some beautiful music, some majestic music, and some very exciting music.”
The BearBones is a trombone choir made up of music majors, as well as majors from all across campus. Currently, BearBones consists of 26 members who perform repertoire that was both written specifically for trombone choir, as well as music that was originally arranged for other ensembles and later arranged for trombone choir.
Cook also said the band would travel to Texas for a spring tour.
“It is tremendously exciting and a blast to show off the talents and hard work of all of the UCA students,” Cook said.
