CONWAY — The fall 2011 BA/BFA Juried Senior Exhibition, an exhibition by graduating UCA art majors, will be available for viewing at the University of Central Arkansas’s Baum Gallery of Fine Art Nov. 10-Dec. 8.
Opening receptions for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 4-6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13 from 2-4 p.m. in McCastlain Hall’s Baum Gallery. The exhibition and both receptions are free and open to the public. Most works on exhibit will be for sale.
All students seeking either a Bachelor of Arts with a Fine Art or Art Education Emphasis or a Bachelor of Fine Arts: Studio Art degree from the department must participate in a senior exhibit in order to meet graduation requirements. This fall, the exhibition will feature the work of nine BA and seven BFA undergraduates and will include painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, printmaking, illustration and graphic design.
“We always anticipate this exhibition because it is a culmination of what our majors have learned in their art classes, other UCA classes, and their experiences since coming to the university,” Jeff Young, chair of the UCA Department of Art, said. “We invite everyone to come to the Baum to see their recent work.”
