CONWAY — The Arkansas Art Center’s Artmobile, a traveling art gallery, will be featured during ArtsFest in Conway.

It will be located at the Log Cabin Democrat parking lot, 1058 Front Street, Sept. 27-Oct. 1 from 10 am -5 pm.

The exhibit is free to the public. Tour guides will be on hand to enhance the exhibit.

This year’s exhibition is titled, “Faces & Places” and is composed of works from the Arkansas Arts Center Permanent Collection. This exhibition features portraits and landscapes that are abstract and evocative, real and imagined, familiar and strange. These works are placed in the context of social studies, language arts, and visual arts.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the public to see original works of art in the Arkansas Art Center’s collection without having to go to Little Rock,” Gayle Seymour, professor and associate dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication, said. “The display, Faces and Places, features many well-known artists, including Thomas Hart Benton, Adrian Brewer, and Karel Appel.”
