Izzy Wood
Miss UCA Board Member
Izzy Baughn Wood is a former contestant in the Miss Arkansas Organization for ten years and was the inaugural Miss Natural State’s Outstanding Teen. During her time in the competition, she earned a Top 10 finish and received several accolades, including the Legal Professions Scholarship, the Gay Montgomery Spirit of the Pageant Award, and the Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen S.T.A.R. Award, among others.
Izzy graduated with honors from Ouachita Baptist University in 2022, earning a dual degree in Media and Communications and Political Science, along with a minor in Business Administration. With a strong entrepreneurial drive, she founded Izzy B Drilling Company, LLC, a full-service site and civil construction company, in 2021. In addition to running her business, Izzy previously worked in Governor Asa Hutchinson’s office, where she focused on state-federal policy issues.
Currently, she is a second-year law student at the William H. Bowen School of Law. Upon graduation, she plans to specialize in construction law and general business litigation.
Izzy lives in Conway, Arkansas, with her husband, Jacob Wood, and their two dogs, Kota and Stella. She is deeply grateful for the scholarship opportunities the Miss America Organization has provided, as well as the enduring friendships she has formed through her involvement in the competition, which she now considers family. Her passion for the organization has also inspired her to volunteer with the Miss University of Central Arkansas Scholarship Competition (Go Bears)!
