Robert J. Barnhill '52 and his wife, Carlotta, were recently featured in Arkansas Times for the success of their business, Barnhill Orchards, which started in 1980 with 60 acres and has grown to encompass nearly 300 acres.
Allan E. Meadors '54 was inducted into the inaugural class of the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame in October 2015.

Elizabeth A. (Carter) Blankenship '75 received an Outstanding Women in Business award at the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce Women in Business luncheon. Raymond E. Nabholz '76 was reappointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board. His appointment expires Dec. 31, 2020. Cathy J. (Horton) Toney '76, '82 was presented the Arkansas Library Association Retta Patrick Award, which recognizes an individual member of the Arkansas library profession who has made an outstanding state or national contribution to school librarianship. Mitzi Reynolds, wife of the Honorable David L. Reynolds '77 received the Dan Nabholz award at the annual Faulkner County Leadership Institute graduation banquet. Dr. T. Michael Stanton '77 was appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board. His appointment expires May 1, 2021. Stephen E. Ballard '78 was reappointed by Gov. Addie M. (Drake) Morris '80 was reappointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee. Her appointment expires Dec. 1, 2018. Jeff Easley '83 was hired as vice president by Hanson Professional Services, Inc. to provide recruitment, business development and project management services for clients in Miami and south Florida. Michael P. Raney '83 was promoted to vice president of consumer lending at First Security Bank in Mayflower. Shannon L. (Buckley) Woods '83 received the Distinguished Alumni Award at the annual Thomas University Alumni Awards and Reunion Dinner in Thomasville, Georgia. Woods is currently enrolled at UCA in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program with an anticipated graduation date of April 2016. Gena (Grant) Wingfield '84 was honored with a lifetime achievement award as CFO of Arkansas Children's Hospital at the Arkansas Business CFO of the Year luncheon on Nov. 5, 2015. Lori A. (Hawkins) Case-Melton '85 was named the new Conway market president of First Service Bank. Terri A. Conder-Johnson '85 was named the new executive director of the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in November 2015. Karen K. (Gordon) Dayer '85 was named to the 2015 Class of Faulkner County Leadership Institute. David Moseley '85, senior vice president for administration and finance at Arkansas Tech University, has announced he will retire on June 30, 2016. Curtis E. Barnett '86 was named CEO-Elect by the Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield Board of Directors to succeed CEO Mark White, who will retire at the end of 2016. James M. Ferguson '86 was appointed to the Metro Little Rock Alliance's Board of Directors. Cedric N. Harrington '86 graduated Dec. 18, 2015 with a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Nathaniel Grubbs '87 was awarded the 2015 Outstanding Physical Therapist Award by the Arkansas Physical Therapy Association at the annual fall conference in Little Rock. Bret A. Carroll '89, '96 is Conway Corp CFO and recently earned his Public Power Manager certification from the American Public Power Association (APPA). Carroll will be recognized at the APPA National Conference scheduled in June 2016. Michael 'Brad' Hegeman '89, '96 was appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchison to chair the new Military Affairs Committee charged with supporting and promoting the state's military installations. Dr. Jason D. Holland '89 was hired as a professor of mathematics at Harding University in the College of Sciences. Dr. Kay J. (Burke) Fleming '90, '91, speech-language pathologist, was recognized Nov. 13, 2015 at the annual American Speech Language Hearing Foundation's Founders Breakfast in Denver, Colorado, where she received the Rolland J. Van Hattum Award for Contributions in the Schools. Judith D. (Woodward) Goodson '90 was named to U.S. Rep. French Hill's campaign staff as campaign chairman. Kerry L. Schneider '90 was named as superintendent of the Cedarville School District beginning in the 2016-17 school year. Dr. Jeffrey D. Standridge '90, along with two others, co-founded and created the early-stage seed fund Cadron Creek Capital. Steven N. Goff '91, assistant sports editor of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, was named the newspaper's state editor in December 2015. J. (Vint) Fecher '92 was named to the Arkansas Chamber of Commerce Leadership Arkansas Class X. Ronald E. Branscum '93 was appointed by Gov. Cobb '95 was named interim provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs for the Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville campus. Janet L. (Miller) Harris '95 was named the new director of programs for the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute. Kenneth L. Miller '95 was promoted to associate creative director at The Communications Group, Inc. of Little Rock. Samuel R. Dustin T. Rye '04 was promoted to market president at U.S. Bank in Conway. Michael K. Norvell '05, '07 was named the head football coach at the University of Memphis. Norvell coached the past four years at Arizona State University, where he was the program's deputy head coach and offensive coordinator. Stefanie E. (Holt) Vann '05 was named to the 2016 Class of Faulkner County Leadership Institute. Barret E. Baber '06 finished in the top three on NBC's hit show The Voice. Laura A. Hendrix '06 was promoted to a senior associate of Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects in Little Rock. Hendrix is a registered interior designer and has been with the firm for more than 10 years. Shakira J. Pumphrey, J.D. '06 is the new policy director for the Texas Criminal Justice Coalition (TCJC). Prior to joining TCJC, she served as senior policy advisor to Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives Joe Straus. Dr. Courtney L. (Hall) Sick '06 has joined the Conway Regional Medical Center staff and is practicing obstetrics and gynecology at the Renaissance Women's Center in Conway. Derek A.
