Presenters Doris Pierce, OARS Director and Lucas Harder, Model Policy Service Director for the Arkansas School Boards Association will provide session attendees with information on impact of disability for this student population and how service provision (accommodations and accessibility) and knowledge of the social model of disability eliminates barriers to access for this student
population. Examples of Braille, enlarged fort format and assistive technology will be shared with attendees. TBA: lived experience of a blind student (now alumnus) in higher education.
