Join the School of Language and Literature’s Dr. Travis Sorenson for a conversation on the Windgate steps titled, “AI and Translation: The Ambiguity of Language and the Ongoing Need for Human Negotiators vis-à-vis Machines.”
Dr. Sorenson will exemplify how in occupations that are likely to require significant ongoing human intervention, the challenge will be determining how to implement AI responsibly and efficiently while continuing to accurately identify the areas in which human creativity and critical thinking will remain crucial in solving problems, including the need to negotiate the ambiguity inherent in natural language.
