Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical is coming to Reynolds Performance Hall on Sunday, November 24 at 4:00 pm.
The critically acclaimed live stage show, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, returns to Reynolds as part of a national fall tour featuring the “most famous reindeer of all” and his friends from the longest running and highest rated holiday television special. Audiences are invited to help Santa save Christmas with the help of Rudolph and the holly jolly cast of characters including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster and more.
Projections, costumes, and characters are faithfully brought to the stage against a backdrop of nostalgic set designs. The 12-foot-plus-tall Abominable Snow Monster is jaw-dropping. The high-energy cast brings high energy to classic songs and dialogue, while irresistible and loveable puppets highlight the charming roughness from the television show’s stop-motion effects.
Current and retired UCA Faculty and Staff may each receive two FREE tickets to three of the Public Appearances performances in the 2024-25 season.
* To obtain your tickets you must visit the box office in person with your current UCA ID before the day of the performance.

* We cannot place orders for free tickets over the phone, nor can you bring the ID of anyone else in order to obtain more than 2 free tickets.

To All,
You’re invited to the 2024 Annual Operation Safe Walk on Tuesday, November 12, at 5:00 p.m. This event is hosted by the UCA Physical Plant with assistance from the UCA Police Department. We will meet in the parking lot just east of University Police. We will have 6 routes that will be assigned. Groups will start their assigned route around 5:20pm-5:30pm. Routes will typically take 45 mins to 1.5 hours to complete.
All campus community members—students, staff, faculty, and local community members—are welcome to join. Please arrive a few minutes early if you’d like to choose a specific area to walk or inspect.
This event is an open forum for any safety ideas or concerns. Feel free to speak up as we walk—no concern is too small, and every idea is noted and discussed.
We look forward to seeing you there!

SLANT and Vortex are once again co-sponsoring a poetry contest open to UCA undergraduate students in any field of study. Entries will be received from November 15 through February 15. Cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 will be awarded for the top three entries and will be presented at the School of Language & Literature’s Spring honors reception in April.
Judging will be conducted by a panel of published poets who are also former UCA students, plus one member of the Vortex editorial staff.
SLANT is the School of Language & Literature’s creative journal of contemporary poetry, and Vortex is the award-winning UCA student literary and arts magazine.
Last year’s winners were Marshall Cunningham, a Conway native and graduating senior majoring in English and Creative Writing (first place); Sydnee Holcer, a sophomore from Mountain Home majoring in English with a minor in Teaching and Learning (second place); and Aithne Emmons of Hot Springs, a sophomore majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in English.
