Over the summer, five Norbert O. Schedler Honors College students participated in the Justice and Equity Honors Network (JEHN) summer gathering in Washington, D.C. The summer gathering was the culmination of a year-long collaborative class with students from Barrett The Honors College at Arizona State University, David C. Frederick Honors College at University of Pittsburgh, and Macauley Honors College at the City University of New York. Students worked on projects of their choosing with a justice and equity theme and presented their projects at the summer gathering.
Additionally, students had the opportunity to build their networks through meetings with professionals working in the justice and equity spaces, including the Syrian Emergency Task Force, the National Institutes of Health, The Regulatory Assistance Project, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Urban Institute, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association.
