Educational Background
Dr. Chris Craun earned his Ph.D. at the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland. His research focuses on early medieval history, especially early Christianity (martyrologies, hagiography, asceticism, etc.), construction and use of gender in sacred texts, the cult of the saints, biblical motifs in architecture and medieval literature, as well as Carolingian ecclesiastical literature. He teaches World history and ancient history courses, as well as the introduction to historical research.
