Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics
2022 ACTM Math Contest
ACTM recognizes that there has been significant disruption in education across the state this semester. As such, the 2022 ACTM Regional Math Contest is being offered with greater flexibility this year.
Each region may choose to host the contest on their university campus and/or distribute the contest exams to the local secondary schools.
Contest dates are throughout the month of March as set by the university hosting each region. We do request that campuses hold their contest at a time that does not disrupt the students’ learning, such as after 3:30PM or on weekends.
The contest fee will be $2 per student.
Regional winners will be determined after all contests finish. Top scoring students in each region will receive trophies/certificate.
The regional contest directors are sending out information on the contest details for their area.
Questions? Dr. Garth Johnson is state contest director and can be contacted at garthj@uca.edu.
The Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ACTM) is a professional association that supports and encourages good mathematics teaching. ACTM conducts annual regional and state mathematics contests that provide an opportunity for high school students to compete academically. Following the regional contest, teachers may access the regional tests and use them as teaching tools.
