Panhellenic Council
Welcome from the President
On behalf of the Panhellenic Council and all my Panhellenic sisters, I would like to welcome you to the University of Central Arkansas and to the Greek Community! We’re very excited that you’ve shown interest in Greek life at UCA and hope you find our website informative and that it answers any questions you may have. Entering college is both an intimidating and thrilling time for students. There is so much to see and do, countless ways to get involved, and so much independence to be discovered. Among many other student organizations, UCA is the proud home of five Panhellenic sororities. Each is unique its own way, but collectivity we make up one Panhellenic Association.
While each of our sororities strive on the basis of leadership, scholarship, sisterhood, and service, each also has something unique to offer. I have no doubt that through our formal and informal recruitment processes, you will be able to find your home among one of them. You will find that through the friendships and bonds created with your sorority sisters, being away from home and starting college isn’t that scary after all. The support gained from sisters and the activities you will have a chance to participate in will make the transition from High School to College both painless and fun. The memories you make during the next four years will last a lifetime, as will the friendships.
And we can’t forget why we’re all at UCA to begin with: academics. The UCA Panhellenic Association is proud to have a GPA above the average for all Panhellenic sorority women in the nation. Through library hours and study buddies, our sorority women are able to excel in the classroom. Connections made with older Greek students offer insight into future educational paths and career options that many other students may not get.
Sorority Life at UCA allows young women to explore various parts of their character. Becoming a member of our Panhellenic Association gives women countless opportunities in leadership and philanthropic endeavors. They also have the chance to create friendships and bonds that last a lifetime with their sorority sisters, as well as with members of other Greek organizations. It is our belief that through experiences at UCA and as a member of a Panhellenic sorority, these women will become the best version of themselves by the end of their college career.
The Greek community at UCA is currently switching from a spring formal recruitment process to fall recruitment. Be sure to check our website often for new information and upcoming dates as we make this transition.
Welcome to UCA and the beginning of the best four years of your life!
Go Greek, Go Bears!
Caitlin Wilson
UCA Panhellenic Council President
