WRITERS@WORK SPEAKER SERIES TO FEATURE STORMOE

Shelle Stormoe will be the inaugural speaker for the University of Central Arkansas’s Writers@Work speaker series on Sept. 18 at 1:40 p.m. in Thompson Hall room 105.

The Writers@Work speaker series focuses on the ways in which people on various career paths use writing in different genres and media in their jobs. The event is free and open to the public.

Stormoe is membership and activities coordinator for the Quapaw Quarter Association in Little Rock. She describes herself as a “jill-of-all-trades writer, editor, public relations specialist, educator and manager” with more than 15 years of public sector experience.

Previously, Stormoe has worked for the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, Heifer International, as a college writing instructor and as a freelance writer.
