Dr. Rosenow earned his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His specialties are U.S. history since 1865, the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, labor and working-class history, and U.S. immigration and race. His research interests explore the intersections of class, race, and gender identities, working-class culture, and historical memory. His first book, Death and Dying in the Working Class, 1865-1920, was published with the University of Illinois Press. He currently serves as graduate coordinator for the department’s M.A. program.
